About Ress Kutschen
The company Ress-Kutschen is a handicraft enterprise which can look back on 8 generations of company history. The company was first mentioned in 1696, founded by master wainwright Mathias Ress. During that time carriages and horse-drawn carriages were built for daily use.
With each new generation that joined and continued the company, new ideas and innovations were integrated into the field of activity and further into the product range. The flexible and adaptable company was thus able to assert itself over the years with great success.
In the late 19th century the production of wooden toboggans, today the main product of the company, began. With more than 300 years of company history, we are still able to manufacture almost all products that have been manufactured over the years.
Today, the company, which is based in Schwebheim, has production facilities for the manufacture of wood and metal products in small and large series, its own saddlery for all kinds of textile work and also a large warehouse. On a total area of 4000 sqm 10 permanent employees and up to 15 temporary workers work, depending on seasonal requirements.
Care
We recommend drying the sliding surface well after use. You can also preserve or wax the sliding steel for storage before storing the sled. Have the worn sliding surface regrinded or replace it and repair paint damage occasionally.
Safety
Tobogganers and sledgers must also be properly equipped: with ski goggles, braking aid on the feet, helmet, gloves, etc. This is the only way to reduce the risk and ride safely. Further safety tips can be found at the Beratungsstelle für Unfallverhütung BFU and on our website.
